1) liberalism versus state and nationalism 2) small – chase – human – desire 3) more freedom or just loosening of moral rules 1) liberalism versus state and nationalism The great failure of liberalism during the last
seventy years is that it has not managed to help average citizens to develop
their own personality. But why did liberalism not even want to reach this
goal? Because it’s not a real liberalism as it’s too much bound to the idea
of the state. A developed personality in citizens would necessarily question
the principle of the state. This gave nationalism the chance to have its last
comeback even though it passed its peak long ago. 2) small – chase – human – desire I saw an around three-year-old little girl
chasing a pigeon and I thought: Humans always chase things smaller than
themselves, only when it’s about their desire, it can’t be big enough! 3) more freedom or just loosening of moral rules Conservatives mostly don’t see the possibility of
making their own decisions in more freedom, they consider more freedom just a
kind of loosening of moral rules. Everything, which concerns our own life,
has to be the object of our own decisions. Nobody is infallible, even the
powerful! So, why should they make decisions for us? |
