II) good morning
In the summer, he went on vacation
with his Turkish girlfriend in her homeland. There, it was called fatherland
because she was born in Germany. She visited her family and relatives, who
were not the poorest. After the stay, she told him that she actually didn't
like going there because she didn't know whether her grandfather might not
have found a Turkish man for her. Now, he understood why she hadn't moved an
inch from his side during the visit. “Society is even worse here than in
Germany.” She laughed: “I like integrating in Germany, because that's the
only way out for me!” - “Maybe your children won't see it that way anymore
and will be as dissatisfied as me.” - “Possible. But what do you want to do?
The European Union, North America and Australia are a free big prison for
girls like me. Even there, only the cities are suitable for living, because
the people in the countryside are not Islamic, but Christian fanatics.” - “The
only question is how much the men, the masters of the harem in conservative, religious
countries are satisfied with their position. If, for example, they have a
woman's clitoris cut out (of course the men don't do it themselves, old women
do it for them) so that she has less orgasm and therefore is more faithful,
as they believe, or keep her in a cage like a bird, men deprive themselves of
the pleasure of having the feeling of being a real stallion during the sexual
act, because the woman can only imitate the orgasm.” - “Maybe they want to
punish themselves. Like the Christians in the Middle Ages, for whom the
earthly life was a vale of misery and real life only began after death."
When she said that, she smiled.
“Why are the women not rioting there? Why didn't your mother rebel?” he asked
“I can't talk to my mother very much about these things because she is very taciturn.
But I believe that she is simply afraid of freedom and the opportunities it
offers.” - “You have to explain that to me.” - “You grew up having to choose.
Even as a baby, you had to decide which porridge to prefer. It was different
for me. There was only one. It wasn't until I started school that these
questions arose. Do I prefer to study maths or literature? It took me a long
time to understand the word ‘want‘ both in German and in Turkish.” - “I want,
therefore I am.” - “Haha! The twenty-first century’s philosophical principle.”
- “And now you are fighting on three fronts. On the one hand, your own people, who want to hinder you, on the other hand, the German racists, who want to
send you away, and lastly you have to overcome yourself.” - “Something like
that! And you, my dear, cannot help me because everyone has to fight this
fight for oneself.” - “If you are given freedom so easily, you probably
cannot appreciate it at first. One feels abandoned, left alone and longs for
guidance, for a tyrant or a leader.” - “Right! This is why many women seek a macho
or right-wing, conservative parties. A leader takes the burden of "deciding
is a torture" off their shoulders and gives them a feeling of inactive
security. If something happens, it's not your fault. Responsibility is an
unbearable burden for them.” - “Like many generations from the Egyptians, who
believed that their life would end with the death of the Pharaoh, to the
self-confident, responsible liberal who at the same time still has himself
under control in order not to harm others. And no more laws are required for
this.” - “You are a dreamer! We are far from there. In communism, one tried
to educate the people. That failed. Or maybe it came too soon. The struggle
for survival sometimes requires groups. 'Together we are strong,' they say.
They hate individualism or being different. 'Together'! That leads back to
nationalism."
