Psychosis
He waited until he felt the sun
right behind him and his shadow made a thin line through the crowd below him, then he
looked down at those who were waiting there. They had gathered at the foot of
the pyramid and from there everything looked optically as if it were a
staircase into the glowing heavenly star. Now he spread his arms and called
out in a mighty voice: “Look at the sun! Do you recognise the power of God? I
will go into it and when I come back, I will announce the will of the sun god
to you.” Then he disappeared for a short time, but this couldn't take too
long, he had to speak to them again before the sun had moved on, or better
said before the earth had turned any further, but neither he nor the
believers down there, who almost shit in their loin cloaks in fear, knew that.
"Knowledge is power!" -
he thought to himself as he calculated on what day and at what hour the moon
would hide the sun. And exactly for this time he had to order the ceremony to
show the people that the high priest was more divine than the Pharaoh. The
Son of God had dared to lay hands on the religious dignitaries in order to
weaken their influence on the believers. And now he should be
punished for that. But what this scholar, in his omniscience, did not have the
slightest inkling of, was that the high priest would have him killed after
the coup d’état so that he would not be able to divulge his secret.
When the church was being built,
thought had been given to place the entrance at the western end and the
sacristy opposite at the eastern end of the nave. When church mass took place
on Sunday between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m., the sun, which was supposed to blind
everyone in the building, was right behind the priest so that he could have dug
in his nose during the sermon, because no one would have seen it anyway. If
the sun did not shine, a thousand candles were lit in the sacristy, and
because everything in this end of the church was made of gold and silver, or
at least gilded, it reflected the light so perfectly that it even replaced the
sun. And to increase the horror mood, suddenly behind the people the organ
began to play a deafening noise. When the poor believers had survived all this, the
priest shouted at the top of his throat that they are all just sinners, but
that by paying a penance to the church they could save their souls from the
devil who was waiting for them at the door of this building.
Tens of thousands were already
waiting in the large square, flags of the country and the various
associations that had been invited or helped to organise the event, adorned
the stands and the houses around the square. The arrival of the Führer is announced with fanfares and trumpets. Loud applause can be heard. His speech
begins. He glorifies war and calls on the audience to hate certain ethnic
groups. Great approval and applause follow his words.
He never answers questions, but
has a sense of what people want to hear and where they want to be led. “We
can be defeated individually, but together we are strong!” - is one of his
motto, or: “We are all the same and have the same goal! Individualism is bad!”
He declares that he will free his people from the (non-existent) oppression.
This humiliation comes from outside, so everyone must obey him in order not
to obey others. Kiss his feet because they stink less than those of others do!
Suppress the small ones, because they can't defend themselves!
